To comply with federal regulations, we follow a standard Know Your Customer (KYC) process to verify your identity and protect your account.
The 6-Step Onboarding Process
1. Customer Profile Provide your basic personal details, including your full legal name, current residential address, and primary phone number.
2. Financial Profile Answer questions regarding your annual income, liquid net worth, and investment objectives. This helps ensure the platform features align with your financial goals.
3. Affiliations / AML Disclose if you or an immediate family member are affiliated with a stock exchange or FINRA. This step includes standard Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks required for all brokerage accounts.
4. Identity Verification & Liveness Check This is the core of the KYC process. You will be asked to:
Upload a clear photo of your government-issued ID.
Complete a Liveness Selfie: You will be prompted to take a real-time photo or video of your face to verify your identity.
5. Broker Requirements Review and electronically sign the necessary legal disclosures and brokerage agreements required to open your trading account.
6. Trusted Contact Designate a "Trusted Contact Person." This is an emergency contact we can reach if we suspect fraud or cannot contact you. They do not have authority to trade on your account.
Checklist: What You Will Need
Prepare these items before starting to ensure a smooth application:
Social Security Number (SSN) or Taxpayer Identification Number.
Valid Government-Issued Photo ID: A U.S. Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport.
Employment Information: Current employer’s name and office address.
Financial Estimates: Approximate annual income and total liquid net worth.
Mobile Device with a Camera: Necessary for the liveness selfie and ID capture.
Trusted Contact Details: Name, phone number, and email of a person age 18+.
Success Tips for Verification
Do Not Edit Photos: Use original, unedited photos of your ID. Any digital alterations, filters, or cropped screenshots will result in an automatic rejection by the verification system.
Lighting: Complete the liveness selfie and ID scan in a well-lit room. Avoid heavy shadows or backlighting.
ID Clarity: Ensure all four corners of your ID are visible in the frame and there is no camera flash glare obscuring the text or your photo.
Consistency: Use your legal name exactly as it appears on your government ID and your bank records.
